Campus Founders Fund - Investment Team
Kickstart • UNM Campus • $500/semester stipend

About Campus Founders Fund

The Campus Founders Fund (CFF) investment team makes all decisions throughout the VC process, including investment decisions. Students on the CFF Investment Team source deals, analyze companies, make investment decisions, and support CFF portfolio companies. Investment Team members receive financial backing and ongoing training and coaching from the Kickstart team.

Primary Duties

  • Weekly Time Commitment: 3-5 hours
  • Organize 1 on-campus event for entrepreneurs each semester
  • Participate in bi-weekly virtual meetings (Thursdays 6-9 PM) to evaluate investment pitches
  • Source deals by inviting and referring UNM student founders to the Investment Team
  • Prepare investment memos and recommendations
  • Assist in due diligence processes for prospective investments
  • Research and analyze company information, including financial statements and contracts
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis

Requirements

  • Current enrollment at UNM
  • 2 semester commitment required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Compensation

$500 stipend per semester (2 semester commitment required)
